i am no master at this. i quit my job 5 years ago because i cud not handle the stress.it was overtaking me, my health,my family and myself. the answer was simple, let go, but difficult to do. the choice was made easier for me because i was not in a financial jam where both partners need to work to run their family, secondly, i took to opt out so i could rediscover myself again and maybe pursue things that i wanted to at my own pace and with my peice of mind. most of all it was important to me to be happy so that my child and my husband and all the people who love me are happy. at the end of the day if you are miserable and have earned your money for the day and still not able to sleep peacefully,is it worth it?

a big question, but then everyone have their own priorities in life and they are good at handling people and work and family and friends. i was not,so i quit.i am a loser but a happy loser. but i have not givenup on life or my pursuit of happiness.i enjoy the things i do,reading, painting, drawing, teaching my son,or just plain sleeping. the last one is the best.very few of us enjoy sleeping. it says in the Bhagvad Gita

to action  alone have you a right and never at all to its fruits. let not the fruits of action be your motive, neither let there be in you any attachment to inaction

each may interpret this differently,as it holds a different motive and meaning for all of us. for me it means, enjoy what you do at that moment, live for that moment, forget about the repurcussions it might have and don’t expect any rewards for your deeds. what you do is is your duty, what others think of it is their lookout. so go out and live your life the way you want to. ( tooooo easy to say, but very difficult to follow) i’m trying and and some days are a success and some failures. its ok,still enjoy.

once you start working on something, don’t be afraid of the failures and don’t abandon it.if you have sincerely put your heart into it, you will be happy in the end and satisfied and that is what counts.your happiness.

this is a peice by Khalil Gibran, very apt and only if i could make myself follow:

“Go to your fields and your gardens, and you sahll learn that it is a pleasure of the bee to gather the honey of the flower.

But it is  also the pleasure of the flower to  yeild its honey to the bee.

For to the bee, a flower is the fountain of life  and to the flower , a bee is the messenger of love,

And to both, bee and flower, the giving and receiving of happiness and pleasure is a need and a divine feeling.”

only if all of could follow this simple truth in our everyday lives and try to give and recieve happiness, our lives would become divine and make us more humane.
